MOU

KAI central Europe office (in Warsaw) announced that Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) will closely cooperate with WCBKT S.A. for Polish FA-50 Program. Today’s MOU signing is the official milestone. The opportunity to partner with KAI is of strategic character for WCBKT S.A. and will enable both companies effective securing the needs of the Polish Air Forces.

The purpose of MoU between KAI and WCBKT S.A. is to establish means and directions of cooperation in order to have ground support equipment of Polish production used to service FA-50 aircraft of the Polish Armed Forces. The Parties will proceed engineering cooperation in the area of GSE in order to meet the User’s expectations. The agreement is a result of MoU signed by PGZ and KAI during MSPO 2023.

WCBKT S.A. – Central Military Bureau of Design and Technology from Warsaw is the only company in Poland that designs and manufacturers comprehensive range of ground support equipment (GSE) for the Polish Armed Forces and its units are present on every military airfield in the country and compatible to work with every military aircraft used the Polish Armed Forces.

MSPO 2023

WCBKT S.A. – Central Military Bureau of Design & Technology  participated for the thirteenth time in the  thirty-first edition of International Defense Industry Exhibition MSPO from 5-8 of September 2023.

Although for over 50 years WCBKT has specialized in the production and supply of aircraft ground support equipment for the military and civilian market, this yearwe prioritize our solution for the military land domain.

STOPFIRE® Fire Extinguishing and Explosion Suppression System is designed to detect and extinguish fire and suppress explosions in the drive and crew compartments as well as outside of the combat vehicle.

The system reacts to penetration of the armor by the cumulative jet and to fire or fuel explosion by automatically activating the fire extinguishing devices and releasing the extinguishing agent, thus preventing the fire from spreading.

The time from the moment the fire is detected to the moment it is extinguished is 80 ÷ 120 milliseconds. This is especially important in the event of a fuel explosion.

Such a quick reaction immediately suppresses the fuel explosion and prevents the pressure from increasing, giving the crew a chance to survive even in such extreme conditions.

The system is distinguished by a very high selectivity of hazard identification, ensuring no reaction to phenomena that pose no risk to the vehicle crew.

STOPFIRE® can be placed in any combat vehicle, tank or transporter in the configuration agreed for a given type of vehicle.

The specific operation of the system allows for fire protection vehicle even after the vehicle systems power is turned off.

The system was developed in cooperation with the Institute of Optoelectronics of the Military University of Technology, and its production implementation phase was preceded by research and obtaining a certificate from the Military Institute of Armor and Automotive Technology for compliance with the requirements  based on Defense Standards: NO-66-A101 to NO- 06-A108.

The system was implemented in NBPWP BORSUK, which is widely considered to be one of the most important modernization programs of the Land Forces.

STOPFIRE® in the form of a mock-up was presented at the stand of the aviation domain of the Polish Armaments Group in the hall C.

 

Korea Aerospace Industries, Ltd visiting WCBKT S.A.

On May 23, 2023, representatives of Korea Aerospace Industries, Ltd. visited WCBKT S.A.

The purpose of the meeting was to get to know  the participants of the KAI delegation the possibilities and abilities of WCBKT S.A. and discussing potential areas of cooperation in the field of ground handling equipment for light combat aircraft of the FA-50 family for the Polish Air Force.

XXXMSPO summary

The 30th International Defence Industry Exhibition MSPO has come to an end.

This was the 12th time of WCBKT S.A. as an exhibitor took part in this prestigious event.

The units produced by WCBKT S.A. for the needs of the Polish Armed Forces presented at the fair were very popular among industry and military representatives. from home and abroad.

Minister of National Defense, Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Mariusz Błaszczak visited the stand of WCBKT S.A.

By the President of the Management Board of the company, Mr. Artur Gałęzowski, he was introduced with the ongoing activities for the logistical support of the Polish Armed Forces including in the field of aviation.

During this year’s show, we presented the latest technical solutions of our devices.

At WCBKT S.A. stand we exposed:

  • STOPFIRE® FIRE EXTINQUSING AND EXPLOSION SUPPRESSION SYSTEM intended to protect the crew and the engine compartments of combat vehicles
  • TWS-3 ORTLES-3/ M’20 the upgraded version of the simulator
  • LOAD BANK LO-115/260D designed to control technical parameters of any GPU’s

At  MSPO outdoor area our GPUs were used as the external power source:

  • GPU LUZES II/M SERIES VI for Boeing AH-64 Apache attack helicopter
  • GPU LZE-6/M SERIES III for Bell AH-1Z Viper helicopeter

 

During XXXMSPO2022, representatives of the company held a number of meetings, including:

  • representatives of the Ministry of National Defense, where the company’s potential was presented and discussed in the scope of the possibility of using our GPU devices in the process of servicing the latest generation aircraft
  • military-industrial delegation from Bulgaria, where the possibilities of cooperation in securing the maintenance of F-16 aircraft by GPU devices produced by WCBKT S.A. were discussed
  • a delegation from Ukraine, during which talks were continued on the possibility of undertaking industrial cooperation aimed at launching the production of GPUs in Ukraine

 

 

XXXMSPO2022

At the International Defence Industry Exhibition XXX MSPO dated 6-9 September 2022 Central Military Bureau of Design and Technology – WCBKT S.A. belonging to the Polish Armaments Group,  invites to visit its booth – HALL C where are presented:

  • LOAD BANK LO-115/260D designed to apply current loads to 3 x 115/200V a.c. outputs of any GPU (ground power units);
  • TWS-3 ORTLES-3/M’20  SIMULATOR  the upgraded and modernized version of the device designed for initial training of the gunner BMP-1, using the latest achievements of computer technology;
  • STOPFIRE® FIRE EXTINQUSING AND EXPLOSION SUPPRESSION SYSTEM intended to protect the crew and the engine compartments of combat vehicles. Only ca. 100 ms pass between the fire detection and the extinguishing. Implemented in the New Amphibious IFV codename „BORSUK” developed by HSW;
  • GPU LUZES II/M SERIES VI the latest VI generation designed to power on-board aircraft systems with a.c. and d.c. power. During MSPO 2022 this product will be powering Apache AH-64 on external Boeing stand.

Product is submitted to the competition DEFENDER 2022;

  • GPU LZE-6/M SERIES III designed for powering the on-board aircraft systems with d.c. power during engine start-up and the on-board equipment technical condition checks. It will be powering the Bell AZ-1Z VIPER attack helicopter, which has its Polish premiere at XXXMSPO2022.

Appointment of a new CEO

By Resolution No. 10 / VI / 2021, the Supervisory Board of WCBKT S.A. appointed Mr. Artur Gałęzowski to the position of the President of the Management Board (CEO) , who takes up this position from October 6, 2021.

WCBKT S.A. at MSPO 2021

This year’s, 29th International Defence Industry Exhibition MSPO in Kielce allowed WCBKT S.A. not only to present its offer on technological solutions intended for the Polish Armed Forces, but also to participate in number of conferences and trade meetings which opened new opportunities for cooperation with potential institutional, R&D and business partners.

An matter of special importance for WCBKT S.A. was honoring the company with the Golden Quality Certificate by the Quality Certification Center.

Among the new, presented proposals were, above all, Ground Power Unit – LUZES II/M series VI which is a new generation of well-known LUZES II/M GPU that supply on-board aircraft systems with a.c. and d.c. power, engine start-up and onboard equipment technical condition checks of all types of aircraft operating in PAF. The new GPU is characterized by a single container design, ability to provide two types of energy 28V d.c. and 115V a.c. and a remote diagnostics system that allows remote transmission of data on technical condition and facilitates the planning of periodic maintenance. In addition, the constructors made space for remote control devices, which allows GPU to be started and turned off by a technician sitting, for example, in the cabin of an aircraft, 20 meters away from GPU.

Aforementioned, previous version of the device, consisting of two containers, was made available to the United States Army, which presented at MSPO, among others Boeing AH-64E Apache Guardian combat helicopter. The crew of the helicopter from Fort Riley, Kansas, which uses the facilities of the 33rd Transport Aviation Base in Powidz, made use of LUZES II/M series V GPU during the MSPO while checking the technical condition of on-board systems. That clearly indicates that GPUs manufactured by WCBKT S.A. can be successfully used to service allied countries’ aircraft. AH-64E Guardian helicopters are currently supporting the Atlantic Resolve U.S. mission Army Europe and Africa on the territory of Latvia and constitute the backbone of the armament of the assault and reconnaissance battalions of the US Army aviation brigades.

Striving to diversify product portfolio, WCBKT S.A. in cooperation with the Military University of Technology, build a system that allowed the company to enter the group of companies creating technological solutions within the land domain. STOPFIRE® system presented during MSPO is the first, completely Polish, automatic fire extinguishing and explosion suppression system in the driving and crew compartments, dedicated to tanks, combat and engineering military vehicles. Less than 150 ms elapses from the moment the fire is detected to its extinguishing. STOPFIRE® was installed in crew and drive compartments on the NBPWP Borsuk prototype and has certificate of the Military Institute of Armored and Automotive Technology, documenting the compliance of actual parameters with those declared by WCBKT S.A.

At the booth of the aviation domain companies of Polish Armament Group, WCBKT S.A. also presented its flagship product which is LUZES V/ D series V GPU, which is currently used by most units of the Polish Air Force, as well as hangar and airport equipment, the production of which extends the company’s capabilities in the field of comprehensive military and civil airport equipment in elements such as: passenger stairs or cargo terminal equipment.

VIPs who got acquainted with WCBKT S.A. offer included, in particular Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces  Major General PhD Dariusz Pluta, Deputy Director of Defense Policy Department of the Ministry of National Defense Mr. Mateusz Sarosiek, representatives of Armaments Inspectorate, Armed Forces Support Inspectorate, General Command of the Polish Armed Forces, Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces and military units of the Polish Air Force.

Additionally, representatives of WCBKT S.A. had opportunity to participate in events organized during MSPO which were devoted to areas of foreign trade control systems in goods of strategic importance, product management and certification systems, U.S. procedures of Foreign Military Sales and selected projects of Huta Stalowa Wola S.A.

We are at IDEX 2019

THE INTERNATIONAL DEFENCE EXHIBITION AND CONFERENCE  –  IDEX 2019 is taking  place  in  Abu Dhabi  the capital of the United Arab Emirates,  from 17th  to 21st  of February.

WCBKT S.A. – Central Military Bureau of Design and Technology takes part in the event  together with other companies in the defense industry sector.

Representatives  of  our company (Commercial and Logistics Director and Head of Sales Department) promote our latest technological solutions within the stand of Polish Armaments Group S.A. in the Middle East.

New Generation Aviation 2018

International Conference and Exhibition „NEW GENERATION AVIATION – STRATEGIES, TECHNOLOGIES, SOLUTIONS focused on ground infrastructure for air transport, was organized in Warsaw, on 17th of April 2018. The conference was accompanied by an exhibition of promising aviation technologies that are the effect of many years of experience of aviation and airport equipment users. WCBKT S.A. as a company related to military and civil aviation, participated in this year’s conference being a continuation of AIRPORT conference and exhibition organized for many years. Piotr Kisiel – President of the Board of WCBKT S.A. presented technological solutions proposed by our company during the session “Future technologies for the airport and air basis”. Conference participants could see examples of these solutions at WCBKT S.A. exhibition stand.

Cooperation agreement between BAE

BAE Systems has signed a contract regarding cooperation with WCBKT S.A., a Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa S.A. company, in the framework of providing Ground Support Equipment to help sustain Poland’s fleet of F-16 fighter jets. The scope of cooperation includes training, spares, and engineering services.

The contract will last 5 years. Development and production works will take place both at BAE Systems’ Electronic Systems business, based in the U.S. as well as at WCBKT S.A. in Warsaw.

BAE Systems employs more than 100 people in Poznan, building products and services focused on risk, fraud and compliance solutions. This agreement further strengthens BAE Systems’ industrial presence in Poland.

WCBKT S.A. –  Central Military Bureau of Design and Technology founded in 1968, employing nearly 150 employees, will be able to significantly extend its offer thanks to the signed contract. This will enable the company to benefit from the services of the NOSP Equipment Supply and Service Center, which will become an integral part of the WCBKT S.A. and will fully meet the needs of the Polish Armed Forces in the field of ground aircraft service (NOSP).
